What is FontMate?
FontMate is a Time-Saving add-on that Manages Fonts in an After Effects Project level.

Is kerning, etc. adjustable as well or will be in the future?

FontMate supports size ratio in targeted fonts, and will support tracking in v1.2 which is now in beta and will be released soon
Unfortunately not all characters features are accessible (By Adobe) so no plans at the moment to expand the support for other features than tracking.
With that said, FontMate maintains any feature that is already on the text layer, so if your kerning or other feature sits on the text layer, it will appear also after the font was replaced
I previously purchased and installed. The computer broke down and doesn’t work and I bought a new one, and when I install again with the password it tells me to disconnect from the other devices. How do I hang up? The old computer is inactive

Hi Jono, FontMate replaces fonts in a project or by a target font. At the moment it does not support single composition, but it is a good idea for our next update.

I have two fonts I want to replace in a project, and Fontmate is replacing both with the same new font. How can I target each missing font separately?

It doesn’t seem to work when there are multiple fonts weights (e.g. bold & regular) within one text box. It changes all the bolds into regulars as well… Is there a fix or trick?
Hi Denis, FontMate works on layers font in on project scope, not multiple fonts on a single layer. We are currently working on a new tool that will change multiple fonts on a single layer on a smaller scope

I can’t seem to apply a font only to selected layers. It always tries to apply to ALL layers in all comps. How is this achieved (apply a font only to the selected layers)?

It’s convenient, but not perfect.
It is unreliable because conversion leakage occurs.
It often happens that only one character in a sentence is not converted.
It may be because it is a Japanese double-byte character, but I want this problem to be fixed.
